Question 1

Which rotomolding machine type fits my production plan?

Accepted Answer

Choose a carousel machine when you need continuous multi-mould output of tanks, bins or pallets with stable cycle times. Shuttle and square shuttle machines suit medium volumes and frequent product changeovers because each arm can run its own recipe. Rock and roll machines (oven type or U-arm open flame) are the best choice for long, slender parts such as kayaks, canoes and agricultural tanks where bi-axial rotation ratios must be adjusted precisely.

Question 2

What is the standard lead time for a rotomolding machine and mould?

Accepted Answer

A standard shuttle or rock and roll machine is normally manufactured within 45-60 working days after drawing approval. Carousel lines with 3-4 arms usually take 75-90 working days. CNC-machined aluminium moulds are delivered in 25-40 working days depending on part size, texture and insert complexity. Every delivery includes an FAT video report before shipment.

Question 3

Which mould material should be used - cast aluminium, CNC aluminium or steel?

Accepted Answer

Cast aluminium is economical for large, simple shapes such as water tanks. CNC-machined aluminium gives the tightest tolerance, the best surface reproduction and the longest service life for consumer products, coolers and automotive parts. Fabricated carbon steel or stainless steel is used for very large low-volume tanks where tooling cost matters more than cycle time, because steel transfers heat more slowly.

Question 4

How do you reduce gas consumption in a rotomolding plant?

Accepted Answer

We combine high-efficiency burners, ceramic fibre oven insulation, PLC closed-loop temperature control and optional internal air temperature (IAT) monitoring. IAT allows the oven to be switched off at the exact peak internal temperature instead of by fixed time, which typically saves 10-18% of gas per cycle and reduces part warpage caused by over-curing.

Question 5

Do you support installation, commissioning and operator training overseas?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our engineers travel for on-site installation, commissioning and operator training, covering mould loading, powder charging, cycle setting, demoulding and preventive maintenance. Remote support is available through video diagnosis, PLC parameter backup and a spare-parts list prepared for the first two years of production.
